Skip Start Screen on Boot in Windows 8.1

Windows 8 had mixed feelings from the users. Few really liked it but others found it difficult to follow. People were used to the start button which apparently was missing in Win 8. One of the main issue any new user faced is ‘how to go the desktop’ or ‘where is the desktop’. Definitely Microsoft realized these drawbacks and corrected few with the release of Windows 8.1.

8.1 brought back the start button. But this time the start button allow to swap between the start screen and the desktop. One of the other correction was to view the desktop screen on booting. Now users had an option to skip the start screen and move directly to the desktop. If you dont know how to boot to the desktop and skip the start screen then follow the simple below steps.

1. Well, first if you have windows 8.0 then you will need to upgrade to the 8.1.

2. Right click on the task bar where there are no icons and select the properties.
